The story of Sorsanpesä
Sorsanpesä was built by Matkaravinto Oy in two phases. The first part was completed in 1971 and the second in 1975. The circular hotel was designed by architect Kauko Tihonen. In autumn 1989, an extension wing designed by Touko Saari was completed.
During the hotel expansion, all rooms in the circular section and the hotel restaurant were renovated. The current interior style of Sorsanpesä, renewed in the 2010s, combines stylish hotel rooms, elegant restaurants and modern meeting facilities.
